The NMH Library is the place to be on Sunday, February 21! We've got three exciting events planned that include a little something for everyone.

We'll kick things off at 3:30 p.m. with our second Schauffler Scholar Series lecture. Dr. Carl Christianson of NMH's Science Department will speak on "Utilizing Nature's Biochemical Diversity to Discover Medicines." The talk will take place in the Library Commons (back of Reference Room). Hot cocoa and cider will be served.

At 4:30, our Mini MakerFest will begin with Flashmob Knitting in the Reading Room. Experienced knitters, bring your work! New to knitting? We'd love to help you get started. Kim Sprankle, an accomplished knitter as well as librarian extraordinaire, will be there to help you make your own knitting needles and cast on your first stitches.

Finally, at 5:30, we will celebrate the launch of 3D Printing at the library. Come eat cake, check out the printers in action, ask questions, and learn how you can turn your ideas into tangible objects. Science Club participants have been working with 3D printing for a while; now, thanks to an anonymous donor, we're able to extend this opportunity to everyone on campus. Everyone is welcome -- we hope to see you there!
